Shamrock’s trading team consists of professionals with over 15 years experience in oil and petroleum product trading, including crude oil, gas condensate, fuel oil, gasoline, various blending components. Today, we are primarily focused on base oils physical trading and goods management. With our commitment to sustainable profitability, we are also experts in managing price risks and volatility.

Our trading philosophy is built around sustainable profitability and long-term partnership, therefore we never get involved in risky financial operations, we use various financial instruments to minimise the effect of price volatility and rates, including futures, quoted on international commodity exchanges and derivatives such as swaps and options. The deliveries are covered by either credit risk insurance (Euler Hermes) or other guarantees of payment (LC or bank guarantee).

We have developed proven risk management tools to ensure protection against environmental, political and financial adversities, including currency and interest rate fluctuations, delivery and performance risks.

Our trading activities are supported by other related services, including sourcing, processing, refining, transportation, storage, tailor-made blending and financing therefore we always deliver bespoke solutions to add value to our trading operations, by integrating  financial instruments, logistic and storage assets, customised blending opportunities, shipping and logistics alternatives.
