On 2 December, Shamrock will be attending the 23rd Annual General Meeting of the Cyprus International Business Association (CIBA). The event is an important one in CIBA’s and its members calendar and will host the President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Anastasiades.
Shamrock has been a member of CIBA since 2011.
Celine Boutier, Managing Director at Shamrock, says: “Relationships are at the core of Shamrock and, as a business headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, it is important for us to be part of an association such as CIBA. Our membership not only allows us to grow our local network, but we can continue to support the local economy and community that hosts us – something that we are very proud of.”
As a testament to our good relations, the President of CIBA, Frixos Savvides, had this to say concerning our 10-year anniversary:
“I take the opportunity to wish the Management and Staff of Shamrock Shipping and Trading Limited, a happy 10th Anniversary.
“On the occasion of your 10 years of success in the business, myself and the Executive Committee of CIBA, extend our warm congratulations and all the very best in your future endeavours.
“We are proud that Shamrock Shipping and Trading Limited, is a prominent member of our Association and we congratulate you, for your contribution to the successful development of the International Business sector in Cyprus, over the last ten years.”
CIBA was established on 31 December 1992 as a registered not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. It came to existence on the initiative of a number of expatriate business executives who had moved their international operations to Cyprus. They wanted to benefit from the Island’s strategic location, bridging Europe with the Middle East, Africa and the Far East, as well as to take advantage of the Island’s relaxed atmosphere and Mediterranean climate and its simple but competitive and effective tax regime.
CIBA’s mission is to take care of the international community in Cyprus.
